Toddler Work

Our 28 month olds love our Montessori room as much as our preschooler!!!  Some things they chose this weekend, pictured above:

• Autumn Themed Sets Basket
• Mini Knobbed Cylinders
• Squeezing work, transferring spiders with tweezers
• Our 1-10 box, complete with short bead stair and cards and counters

Cards and Counters for Odd/Even

She loved it!! The idea that if a number did not have a partner, the number is odd stuck with her. I saved the old circles from an old game I almost threw out! She continued to an extension from Montessori For Everyone, linked here.

Cards and Counters Extension

A friend of mine gave me hundreds of theses little paper circles. They are perfect for counters. My professor once said that a child can never do enough work with 1-10, especially when it is fun! See what else you can make studying numbers!
